Spiderman

Spiderman...need I say more! ;o)

Little Einsteins Caterpillar

I did this one in January for my best girl's son's 1st birthday party. He loves the Little Einsteins! This is the caterpillar from their logo. I used the sport ball pan for the balls and cupcakes for the feet.

I even made him a mini version for his smash cake!

Numero Uno

This cake was the first ever of my wedding cakes. It was also my first cake back post back injury. My mom came and helped me with all the baking as to not stress my back too much. Other than the fact that I couldn't lift it once it was built, my only worry was how it would hold up at an outdoor wedding in July with a classic buttercream frosting, but no worries...it held it's own until being completely demolished by all the guests!

Pikachu!

What little boy doesn't love Pokemon?

Bridal shower dress cake

I did this cake for a friend of mine for her sister's bridal shower. Fondant with Cornelli lace technique on the bodice, Dots and little yellow fondant flowers on the skirt.

Surprise!

This cake was done for one of my mommy friends for her mother's surprise 60th birthday party. White fondant with black fondant ribbons and circles I like the contemporary circles and dots which seem to be all the rage with cakes these days.

Mr. & Mrs. Q's wedding cake

I did this cake for one of my high school friends for his wedding. I think the topper is hilarious of the bride dragging the groom by the neck! I hurt my elbow cutting dowels for this cake and ended up having to get my brother-in-law to help me deliver it because I couldn't lift it! I was a busy lady that weekend as my daughter's and nieces birthday party was the next day at my house! Don't think I've ever cleaned so fast in my life!

One of my faves

This cake was done for a friend of mine for her daughter's first birthday. Though the preparation took hours, it was quite fun making all those flowers...I felt like a kid playing with Play-Doh! I love working with fondant! It's just so pretty!

Turtle Cakes 101

Welcome to my blog! Not much here yet, I know, but give me time to get it done! Being that I am a cake decorator, I have finally decided to delve into the world of blogging so that those of you not on my social networking sites can actually see some of my work without me emailing pictures every time you want a peek. You might want to grab a glass of milk! Enjoy!
